Roadworks in urban areas pose a major challenge for people with visual impapments. The sudden interruption of permanently installed guidance markings often leads to disorientation and an increased risk of accidents.
NavTac can be used in a variety of ways and precisely marks obstacles and danger spots to enable people with visual impariments to orientate themselves clearly and safely - for example at
- Temporary relocation of public transport stops of local public transport services
- Temporary changes to routing due to events (e.g. trade fairs, sporting events, city festivals)
- Construction sites and obstacles in the pedestrian area
- Temporarily placed pedestrian traffic lights
The yellow NavLines road marking tapes also sensitise other road users not to place obstacles such as e-scooters or rubbish bins near guidance fields for visually impaired people.
