The development of NavTac addresses a previously unresolved problem in temporary traffic management: the lack of accessible wayfinding in construction zones and diversion situations. The tactile marking films serve as a flexible guidance system and enhance both road safety and the independence of those affected.

The jury particularly highlighted the high practical utility and the contribution to accessibility. NavTac was developed in close collaboration with a school for visually impaired people in Hanover.

In addition to Brite-Line, the jury recognised further international innovations in the fields of sustainable mobility, road safety and digital infrastructure.
